In a new Survey USA ranked choice poll of Tuesday’s Maine primaries, Bobby Charles, Hannah Pingree, and Joe Baldacci lead their races.

The poll also finds:

➡️ Voters take advantage of the ability to rank – 75% rank at least 2 candidates in the governor’s race.
➡️ 84% of voters who rank 2+ candidates say ranked choice voting is easy.
➡️ 70% say they like the ability to rank candidates.

The NAACP is condemning the U.S. Supreme Court's latest decision allowing Alabama to use a congressional map previously found to be intentionally discriminatory against Black voters, warning that the ruling marks another dangerous step in the dismantling of voting rights in the state and across the country.

The Court's action follows its most recent decision in Louisiana v. Callais, which has triggered racial gerrymandering efforts across the South.

In recent Washington State elections, so many Dems ran in the top-two primary that vote-splitting locked the party out in November – despite most voters favoring Dems.

The fix? Add ranked choice voting.
