I am honored to be working alongside treaty attorney Derek Red Arrow of Kilpatrick Townsend, undertaking historic efforts on behalf of our ancestors and for the future of the Quinault Indian Nation. Together, we are committed to preserving our cultural heritage, protecting tribal sovereignty, and ensuring that generations to come remain connected to their roots and traditions.

A productive day as members of the Quinault Business Committee met with Congresswoman Emily Randall. They discussed key priorities and toured Allotment 1157, a precious remnant of the old-growth forests that once defined the Quinault’s ancestral lands.
We hold strong hope that the Quinault Indian Nation Land Transfer Act will move successfully through the U.S. Senate. Previously this legislation was the congresswoman’s first standalone bill passed in the House, kicking of the restoration of 72 acres back to the Tribe.

What a powerful turnout for this year’s Blueback Ceremony—led with love, pride, and purpose by our youth. From the fish pit fire, to the mouth of the river, our young people walked with strength, honoring our sacred Blueback salmon and carrying forward the teachings of our ancestors.

Siokwil to Marquel Waugh for making sure our youth were present and engaged, and to Cleve Jackson for stepping up and leading this ceremony with heart. This is what stewardship, leadership, and community look like.

Our salmon are sacred. Our future is strong.

Let us take a moment to express our gratitude to all the mothers among us and to those who have taken on maternal roles, providing love and guidance to the children in their care. Your hard work, patience, and dedication do not go unnoticed. You are the architects of our future leaders, and we are deeply grateful for your contributions. Wishing you all a joyous Mother's Day filled with love, appreciation, and cherished moments. Thank you all that you do and continue to do.

We were honored to welcome Congresswoman Emily Randall to the Quinault Indian Nation. In times as uncertain as these, it’s deeply reassuring to know we have a leader like her in our corner—someone who listens with compassion, leads with integrity, and shows genuine respect for tribal sovereignty. We’re grateful for her partnership and continued advocacy for our people.

The Satsop School District would like to express its deepest appreciation to the Quinault Indian Nation. Your generous grant will allow us to purchase new desks for our second through sixth grade students. This act of kindness is something that will not only touch current students, but many future students as well. We thank you for your support and for helping us achieve great things!
