Blue Star Mothers Cherokee Capital OK 21

Blue Star Mothers Cherokee Capital OK 21 We support all active Armed Service Members, Veterans, POW, MIA, and Fallen Military Families. We meet monthly, on the third Thursday at 5:30pm.

Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. (BSM), are the proud mothers (grandmothers, aunts, step-mothers, and adoptive mothers) of a member of the United States Armed Forces. BSM is a National Organization and a Federal Program. Our first meeting in Tahlequah was in June, 2011. We later received our official charter as “Cherokee Capital OK, Chapter 21.” in December, 2011.

*** Call for Attendance (Fort Gibson, OK) ***

Unaccompanied Veteran, Darrin Thurman, who served in the U.S. Air Force recently passed away. Unfortunately, no friends or family will able to attend his service.

Veteran groups are organizing support to attend Thurman's memorial service, so he is not laid to rest alone.

The service will take place on Friday, January 26th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

If you have the opportunity, please come out and attend.

This is BSM, Billie Walker former founding mother of chapter Ok21 and most recently, acting V. P of this chapter. It is with regret that I inform everyone that I am no longer associated with this chapter nor it's remaining two mothers.
From those of us no longer with this chapter we say, thank you Tahlequah and surrounding communities for the loyal support and contributions made to our chapter. This allowed us to send supplies from home to our ever present military sons and daughters still serving around the world.
Bless our troops near and far.
Billie
