Fall Dates to Remember for Tahlequah Public Schools After-School Programs!

Please note that there will be NO After-School Programs on the following dates:
September 21 – Staff Training
October 1 – Parent-Teacher Conferences

Both of these dates are regular school days, so families, please make sure appropriate arrangements are made for students after school.

Celebrating Cherokee Culture at TMS!

With the Cherokee National Holiday coming up this weekend, Mrs. Bardell’s Native American Culture classes, and even her PE class, got outside and enjoyed a traditional game of Cherokee Marbles!

Mrs. Bardell’s Native American Culture students have been learning about the Cherokee people, history, and culture. So far, students have:
Explored Cherokee history
Learned about the Trail of Tears
Studied the Cherokee Phoenix
Created Three Sisters mosaic
Played Cherokee Marbles

They’ll finish the week with a hands-on copper embossing project, continuing to learn about Cherokee culture through history, art, traditions, and activities.
