Brian Ross, OST’s Director of Financial Education, attended the National Congress of American Indians 71st Annual Convention Ensuring the Financial Capability of the Next Generation summit on Sunday, October 26, in Atlanta, Ga. He is traveling to Washington, D.C., to participate as a panelist at the Federal Trade Commission’s Fraud Affects Every Community Workshop on October 29, 2014. Ross will be part of Panel 3: Getting More Specific: Community Case Studies on Fraud, at 11:00 a.m.

OST’s Financial Education platform incorporates a life cycle approach for youth, adults, and elders. The training includes experiential learning formats for the very young, which research suggests is a time when they are most receptive to adopting good financial habits. Education and skills training continue through post-secondary education, the first time home purchase experience, budgeting, retirement savings, and estate planning.
