ASUPS Lectures presents,
Robert Satiacum
Puyallup tribe elder
Saturday, November 7th 4:30 PM PST
Schneebeck Live

Robert, Jr. is an American political and environmental activist and member of the Puyallup tribe of Washington. He advocates for traditional native American values, giving voice to “The First Peoples,” who have historically been silenced or muted by revisionist historians. As a Washington state elector in 2016, Robert decided to go against the popular vote if Hillary Clinton won the state. Satiacum, who spoke from Standing Rock where he was protesting the oil pipeline, said Clinton does not represent his America. Join us for a lecture with Robert this Saturday.

Jonny Gold, Saturday November 7th at 6 PM PST on Schneebeck Live
https://www.pugetsound.edu/academics/departments-and-programs/undergraduate/music/schneebeck-live/
Jonny Gold is an award winning singer-songwriter from San Antonio, TX. They now reside in Seattle, WA where they continue to write sad cowboy songs. Jonny’s songs are sad and sweet, folk music crooned to you by a strong, magnetic baritone that reaches heights, dynamics, and textures that consistently drop jaws. Jonny is a bi, non-binary identifying artist who prefers they/them pronouns; growing up in a hyper-conservative Christian culture with this identity hidden has shaped and influenced a lot of their music.
