a member. Members can borrow any of our 3900+ available tools—everything from hammer drills to hand weeders—for two weeks with no charge. Use the tools, clean them, and return them to the library when you’re done. Mission: The Tacoma Tool Library improves quality of life in the South Sound by providing tools, education, space, and support to cultivate self-sufficiency while reducing waste. Vision: Our work will lead to empowered individuals, increased involvement, reduced consumption, more entrepreneurship, better looking neighborhoods, a stronger sharing economy, and a more resilient community.
