CLASS OF 2026, FOSS GRAD: Baylei is shaped by so many letters – and the work she put into them.

-AP and IB classes: Taking these rigorous classes challenged and prepared her to study at Palm Beach Atlantic University this fall, where she’ll pursue nursing and business administration.
-TA: As a teaching assistant at Foss High School, she fostered kindness and sympathy for others.
-ASB: As an Associated Student Body officer, Baylei developed leadership skills and found joy in her school community.
-BSU, yearbook and cheerleading: Participating in these activities helped her figure out her passions.
-ACL: Tore it during her pole vaulting event. The recovery process helped her learn to push through during challenging times.

All of those letters contributed to Baylei’s journey of growth in the last four years. Can’t wait to see what’s next for you, Baylei! 🎓🎉

CLASS OF 2026, STADIUM GRAD: Over the course of four years, this Stadium grad and state champion swimmer found a way to push himself academically and athletically while also staying balanced.

“I love challenges. I think that’s why I love swimming so much,” Jack said. “Every year, I put more challenges in front of myself. But I tried to find the balance with what needs to be done versus what I want to do. I found a way to enjoy my hobbies.”

Jack will attend the University of Denver to swim and study biochemistry with the plan to pursue a pre-med track.

Congratulations, Jack! 🎓🎉

Congratulations to our Larchmont Lions who opened their new community schoolyard! Thanks to a partnership with Trust for Public Land, Parks Tacoma, and City of Tacoma Government Principal Anna Kang, TPS Board President Korey Strozier, and student leadership joined local leaders to celebrate the new facility on May 13, 2026.

With the completion of Larchmont schoolyard park, Trust for Public Land, Tacoma Public Schools and Parks Tacoma have renovated five existing schoolyards under the Tacoma Community Schoolyards Pilot Program. In alignment with community visioning and city priorities, the group, alongside a host of community partners and neighbors, transformed schoolyards at Larchmont, Whitman, Mann, Helen B. Stafford, and Jennie Reed elementary schools.

The schoolyard is now open for the neighbors to enjoy.

CLASS OF 2026, TACOMA ONLINE GRAD: It’s not every day you meet someone who wants to try engineering AND theater. Enter Nickari.

At TOL, Nickari received exactly what he needed to persevere through the hard classes and the tough days. The TOL team supported him in a way that prepared him to take any next step he wanted. For Nickari, that means heading south to the University of New Mexico to study mechanical engineering – and maybe get on stage!

Good luck, Nickari. We’ll be looking for you! 🎓🎉

CLASS OF 2026, SOTA GRAD: Don’t be surprised when you see his name rolling on the credits of your future favorite movie.

Kaveh, now headed to Emerson College in Boston to pursue filmmaking, invested his time at School of the Arts in the development of his craft. He took his instructors’ advice, injecting his growing artistic voice in all of his projects. He credits his friends at SOTA with helping him develop a passion for the work – and is happy to have had the chance to learn at a school that offers in-depth opportunities to create art.

“So many kids are doing what they love at this school, and they’re growing,” Kaveh said. “SOTA has changed my life.” 🎓🎉

GOALS! Our partnership project with the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, Visa, Street Soccer USA, Bank of America, and FWC26Seattle has met its goal: bringing soccer pitches to the Eastside. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, especially students from Blix Elementary and Stewart Middle School as well as Lincoln drumline!

The newly constructed Visa Street Soccer Park is located on the northeast side of the former Gault Middle School property, next to the future IDEA school, and is part of a broader effort by our partners to invest in community spaces that support youth, health and connection through sport. Designed as an inclusive, community-first space, the park will provide a safe, accessible place for youth and families to play, gather and stay active.

The Tribe’s Language and Culture departments named the site wələx̌ʷildubutali, meaning “Place to make yourself strong,” a reflection of the park’s role as a space for growth, connection and community strength.
