Community Opportunity: 2026-2027 Enrollment for the Maritime|253 Skills Center is now open. Another incredible client success story at Sound Outreach!
One of our newer clients has been working with us for just 6 months. When she first enrolled in the program, her credit score was 538. After developing a plan, staying consistent, and putting in the hard work, her score has now risen to an amazing 760!

We are so proud of her dedication and commitment to improving her financial future. Building credit takes patience, discipline, and perseveranceโ€”and her progress is truly inspiring. Weโ€™re excited to continue supporting her as she works toward paying off more debt and reaching even bigger financial goals.

Small steps can lead to life-changing results. ๐Ÿ’š

When we first started meeting in October, my client didnโ€™t have a bank account and hadnโ€™t been actively managing her credit. One of her biggest goals was to find a better place to live and we talked about how important credit can be in the rental process.
Through our partnership with ACU, she was able to open her first account and start building credit with a share-secured credit card. From there, she stayed consistent, keeping her utilization below 30% and sticking to the plan we created together.

Today, we pulled her creditโ€ฆ and she now has a score above 750 ๐ŸŽ‰

This is what dedication and the right support can do. Strong credit opens doors and sheโ€™s now in a position to pursue the housing opportunities sheโ€™s been working toward.

A tax refund can be more than a one-time boost, it can be the start of long-term financial progress. ๐Ÿ’š
One of our clients recently received her tax refund and made a powerful choice: she used it to pay off three debts and opened a certificate of deposit (CD) to jump-start her savings goal.

By paying off those three accounts, she also freed up monthly cash flow that we are now strategically redirecting toward her remaining balances using the snowball method. Each payoff builds momentum, confidence, and financial stability.

This is what intentional planning looks likeโ€”turning a moment of relief into a pathway toward lasting financial resilience. Weโ€™re so proud of her progress!
