This is a friendly reminder that only Kindergarten parents should be picking up students at the doors of the building. We want to ensure that these families can communicate with teachers and sign their students out safely.

All other families should wait at their designated grade level cone to safely pick up your child.

Huntington Pre-K-8 School Vice Principal Emily Carpenter puts everything she has into the students she works with… it’s why her colleague, Mental Health First Aid Responder Melissa Trabert, nominated her as a Star of the SCSD!

“Mrs. Carpenter will try all different approaches to find one that compliments the students and works for all involved,” Ms. Trabert shared. “She goes above and beyond for every student she comes into contact with. You can tell the love that the students feel when Mrs. Carpenter is attempting to walk down the hall and students can be seen leaving their friends to go and get a hug from her! Mrs. Carpenter is one of the reasons SCSD is so special!”
