JWA Construction Management

JWA Construction Management JWA is a Construction Management Firm which encompasses Commercial/Municipal program and construction management and consulting.

JWA Construction Management’s approach to construction phase services is focused on our active field management, proactive and timely resolution of issues, and clear, concise communication. Our active field management starts with being engaged where the work is taking place- JWA doesn’t manage projects from the field trailer. Our field staff are dedicated, experienced, “boots on the ground” profes

sionals who are in the field where the work is taking place. This style allows JWA to be aware of what’s happening during the course of each day, ensuring quality, and proactively managing issues as they develop. Clear and concise communication is an integral part of the team approach JWA deploys when managing projects. This starts with our active field management and is displayed through our weekly and monthly status reports and daily contractor check-in meetings. JWA utilizes 2-week look ahead to mitigate contractor coordination issues and impacts to operations. Active 2-week look ahead and regular schedule checks are key to maintaining an on-time delivery. Proactive and timely resolution of issues is critical to keeping a project on schedule and budget. Our team’s proactive approach will bring the stakeholders together for each issue, brainstorming potential solutions, and moving forward with the most cost effective and realistic solutions.

We are 10 years old today! I want to thank my amazing employees for their patience while we grow and expand. I have been truly blessed by the caliber of people loyal to our woman-owned business. I’m not necessarily a feminist at all but I am most proud that we are able to break the old stigma that a man, specifically a husband, brother or father is the brains behind the WBE designated firm. All those men in my life are my rocks and have given unwavering suppport but I have made it my business to know my business inside and out. Finally, we would be nowhere without the faith of our amazing clients. Some of the best CM companies in Syracuse, NYS, the country and the world have mentored us along the way. I am proud to have earned their trust. What a day today will be …….onward to the next 10 so i can leave a legacy to the next generation of women. ❤️

So proud to have been the Construction Managers on this project. Not easy but our CM Melissa Liquori made it look easy and every day made it her goal to have it done well and to take some pressure off the awesome Upstate Capital programs personnel. Thank you Upstate for involving us in this important part of bringing back the Community Campus hospital.

Emily is our youngest, but well educated and well-loved employee. Graduated from Clarkson University with a degree in Civil Engineering, Emily took her first job as a project administrator for a large construction company in New Hampshire. With a desire to be closer to her close-knit family, Emily applied for a project engineer position with us for the Syracuse City Schools project. In her short time there, Emily is proving her worth both in site knowledge and support through her superior IT skills. Further, she has proven that her personality is compatible with the volatility of a challenging project site and stays perfectly calm and unoffended. Emily lives in Syracuse with her sister (another engineer) as her roommate.
