🎓👮‍♂️ Congratulations to Campus Peace Officer Benjamin Li on graduating from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Basic Police Academy! 👏🚔

We also congratulate all of the recent academy graduates and wish them a safe and successful career in law enforcement. 🇺🇸

Officer Li will now enter the Field Training where he will be working alongside experienced officers for several weeks while gaining hands-on experience in campus patrol operations, emergency response, radio communications, and daily interactions with the OCC community. 🚓👮‍♂️

💙👏 Today we recognize and celebrate longtime OCC Campus Peace Officer Richard Yung, who was recently featured by Onondaga Community College for nearly two decades of dedicated service to the OCC community! 🚔🏫

As one of the original Campus Peace Officers hired in 2007, Officer Yung has spent his career focused on helping others, building relationships, and making students, staff, and visitors feel safe and supported every single day. 🤝💙

His approach to public safety is simple. Treat people with kindness, respect, and compassion. 👮‍♂️❤️

Officer Yung’s professionalism, leadership, and commitment to service continue to make a lasting impact across campus. We are proud to have him as part of the OCC Campus Safety family! 👏🚔

Today the Onondaga Community College Campus Police Department took part in the Village of Phoenix Police Department’s Annual Shop with a Hero event today at Fulton Walmart. 🎄🛍️

Officers Healey and Gonzalez proudly represented OCC while serving as “Heroes” for local children during an unforgettable holiday shopping experience. 👮‍♂️👮‍♂️🎁

This incredible event paired 65 children with local Heroes for a morning filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful connections. 👧👦✨

The kids enjoyed donuts and treats from Byrne Dairy 🍩☕ and lunch from Chick-fil-A in Cicero 🍗🥤. They even got to visit with Santa 🎅 and the Grinch made an appearance too, but he didn’t steal any of the Christmas joy. 🤣🎄

Events like this remind us why community partnerships matter. They build trust, strengthen connections, and bring real joy to the families we serve. ❤️

Across the country, police and campus safety agencies are getting into the spooky spirit — and we thought we’d do the same! This fun design adds a festive twist while showing our commitment to keeping the OCC campus safe year-round. 💙

As Halloween approaches, remember these safety tips:

🚶‍♀️ Stick with friends and stay in well-lit areas.

🕯️ Carry a flashlight or glow sticks to be seen.

🎭 Make sure costumes allow for clear vision and easy movement.

🚗 Drive slow and stay alert for pedestrians.

📱 Report any suspicious activity to Campus Safety immediately.
