Volunteers with Alchemical Nursery recently installed their Community Streets project on the City of Syracuse’s Near Westside. The project includes a street mural depicting a community feast, celebrating bringing the neighborhood together at the Otisco St/Ontario St intersection. More info at smtcmpo.org/communitystreets

NYS Department of Environmental Conservation is encouraging everyone to “Get there Green!” the week of September 20th. The campaign is aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions as transportation is one of the highest sources of emissions in New York State. For the week, NYS DEC is encouraging you to walk, bike, take transit, or drive an EV for your transportation needs. 🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 690 eastbound will be reduced to one lane between the Interstate 81 northbound on-ramp and Exit 17 (Teall Avenue) in the City of Syracuse, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, beginning Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, for paving operations.
