Syracuse has lost a hero, a mentor, a coach, a friend, and a voice. Ray Rinaldi dedicated 70+ year of his life to shaping the lives of thousands of youth, many of which society deemed “unreachable” and not worth while.
Through his teachings, love, and passion, Ray Rinaldi taught so many men and women not to give up on their dreams, to believe in themselves, and always reminded them that they were worth greatness.
With open arms and an open heart, Ray guided thousands of youth through life, with a sternness and passion that said so much more than words ever could. Regardless of race, religion, s*x or creed, anyone who had the honor of meeting Ray knew that they would never be in their fight alone, and that they always had someone on their corner.
Syracuse has lost the best boxing coach there has EVER, or will EVER be, but through his teachings, there is a “Ray’s Kidz” representing his systems and beliefs all over this great country, and world.
Rest in Peace,
Raymond Michael Rinaldi
