💙 Our community continues to step up!

This weekend, St. Rose donated hundreds of basic needs items to help stock Samaritan Center’s Basic Needs Closet. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and commitment to our guests!

And the need continues. With hundreds of guests coming through our doors each day, essentials like toilet paper, deodorant, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes and diapers go quickly.

Every item makes a difference. If your church, business, school or community group would like to host a basic needs drive, we would love your help! ❤️

🥫 Neighbors helping neighbors — in a BIG way!

We are incredibly grateful to
for supporting the Samaritan Center through their Neighbor-to-Neighbor program with a donation of more than $6,000 worth of food!

At a time when we are serving more meals than ever, partnerships like this make an incredible difference. This generous donation helps us keep our kitchen stocked and ensures that hundreds of our neighbors can continue to count on the Samaritan Center for a warm meal and a welcoming place at the table.

Thank you, Dot Foods, for investing in our community and helping us meet the growing need right here in Central New York. 💛

More meals. More need. More neighbors stepping up to help.

We are proud to partner with and grateful for their continued commitment to strengthening our community and supporting organizations that serve our neighbors every day.

A huge THANK YOU to Upstate for donating 1,000 rolls of toilet paper to the Samaritan Center’s Basic Needs Closet!

💙 Young Leaders Making a Big Impact in Our Community!

Meet Atticus Krauter and his best friend, Will Carroll, the young changemakers behind Project315!

For the second year, Atticus and Will have turned their passion for helping others into action—raising funds and awareness for local nonprofits right here in our community.

Last year, they raised $400 to support homeless veterans by selling custom T-shirts. This year, they took their efforts even further, raising an incredible $4,000 for Samaritan Center through the sale of local discount coupon books! 🙌

We are so grateful for Atticus and Will’s compassion, creativity, and commitment to making a difference. Their efforts are a powerful reminder that you don’t have to wait until you’re older to make an impact.

And behind every successful fundraiser is a community willing to show up and support a good cause. Thank you to everyone who helped make Project315’s incredible effort possible!

With young leaders like Atticus and Will, our community’s future is in very good hands. ❤️

🧼 Stock the Basic Needs Closet

SOAP. SHAMPOO. DEODORANT. TOILET PAPER. TOOTHPASTE.

For many of our neighbors experiencing poverty, everyday hygiene essentials are anything but easy to afford.

And unlike food, toiletries cannot be purchased with SNAP benefits and are rarely available through traditional food pantries.

That’s why the Samaritan Center’s Basic Needs Closet matters. ❤️

Our guests can select up to five essential items they need—and our community makes that possible through donations.

Travel-sized and full-sized unopened toiletries are welcome! Every donation, big or small, helps keep our shelves stocked.

🕘 Drop-off: Daily, 9 AM–12 PM

👣 The Next Step Toward Stability Starts Here. 👟

Sometimes, taking the next step toward stability starts with something as simple—and as important—as having shoes that fit.

Our recent Foot Day was about so much more than footwear. It was about meeting an often-unseen need and making sure our neighbors had access to care, comfort, and dignity.

Thanks to an incredible community of partners and volunteers, we were able to bring foot care directly to our guests:

👩‍⚕️ Upstate professionals assessed foot health and identified concerns.

🧼 Abundant Life volunteers provided foot washing and care, creating moments of comfort and dignity.

👟 Fleet Feet and Abundant Life donated new sneakers, including wide and larger sizes, so our guests could receive shoes that actually fit.

And this was truly a community effort:

32 volunteers.
10 stations.
Countless moments of care and compassion. ❤️

For someone experiencing foot pain or an untreated condition, a properly fitting pair of shoes can mean so much more than comfort. It can mean being able to walk to work, get to an appointment, access services, or simply move through the day with less pain.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up, volunteered, donated, and helped make Foot Day possible.

This is what community looks like: seeing a need, showing up, and helping our neighbors take their next step. 👣

⛳ $40,000 Raised. Countless Lives Impacted. Thank You! 💙

What an incredible day on the course! Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, donors, and community partners, this year's Samaritan Center Golf Tournament raised more than $40,000 to support our mission of serving our neighbors in need.

Because of your support, the Samaritan Center can continue providing nutritious meals, emergency assistance, our Basic Needs Closet, the Diaper Bank, case management services, and so much more to individuals and families throughout our community.

To everyone who sponsored, played, volunteered, donated, or helped make this event a success—thank you. Your generosity is creating hope, restoring dignity, and changing lives every day.

While we're celebrating this amazing accomplishment, the need in our community continues. Every day, more people turn to the Samaritan Center for food, essential resources, and compassionate support.

If you weren't able to join us at the tournament, you can still make a meaningful impact. Every gift—large or small—helps ensure that our neighbors have access to the care and services they need.

💙 Together, we're building a stronger, more compassionate community—one act of kindness at a time.

Donate today and help us continue this important work.

Check us out today on as we talk all things

We've experienced incredible growth over the past year. Last night alone at one of our meals, we served 260 dinners- the highest meal count we've seen since before COVID.

As the need in our community continues to grow, we're committed to grow alongside it. We now have more clients than ever, and to better support them, we've expanded our team by adding a Program Director and a Case Manager to strengthen our program services.

I'm excited to share more about the important work happening at Samaritan Center and how we're making a difference in our community. Tune in!
