๐ Inspiring the Next Generation of Women in STEAM! ๐
For the 11th year, the Junior League of Syracuse was proud to host our annual STEAM Day at Brighton Academy, bringing together approximately 60 sixth-grade girls for a day of hands-on learning, exploration, and inspiration.
Throughout the day, students rotated through interactive stations led by incredible women and organizations from across our community. From water quality and environmental sustainability to ecosystems, engineering challenges, resource management, and even the intersection of art and science, participants discovered the many ways Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics shape the world around us.
Most importantly, these young women had the opportunity to meet passionate professionals who are making a difference in their fields every day. Seeing women represented across a wide range of STEAM careers helps students imagine new possibilities for their own futures and reminds them that their ideas, voices, and leadership matter.
A heartfelt thank you to Brighton Academy, MOST, Baltimore Woods, Upstate Freshwater Institute, OCRRA, Ally Walker, Toss & Fire Wood-Fired Pizza, and all of our community partners who generously shared their time, expertise, and enthusiasm. Your support helped make this day both educational and memorable for our students.
Together, we are empowering young women to dream big, explore boldly, and discover that they belong in STEAM.
๐ The future is bright, and these young leaders are just getting started!
