BULLDOGGOALS4AUTISM & BULLDOGSAVES4AUTISM not only (a) promotes awareness, tolerance and acceptance and (b) raises money for the education and social skill enhancement for children with autism, but also provides a platform:

(a) where “typical kids” impact their own lives as well as those with autism by learning that whether by themselves or in a group, they can make a difference;
(b) to educate its student volunteers as to why those with autism act in the manner in which they do-which will help our fellow youth better understand and have compassion for those with autism and other disabilities; and
(c) where its small army of student volunteers perform easy, fun and rewarding community service tied into sports, while receiving great perks and an “executive” type title to be proudly displayed on their college application and/or future job resume.

Please join BULLDOGS 4 AUTISM & the Ascent Youth Alliance to Battle Autism and its student volunteers in our relentless pursuit to SHED LIGHT ON AUTISM and make a difference for kids with autism by attending the Hewlett Bulldogs vs the Syosset Braves Lacrosse Game on March 31, 2012 in Hewlett under the lights at 7pm. Please join the BULLDOGS LAX team in helping SHED LIGHT ON AUTISM on March 31, as we host Syosset (the town where BraveGoals4Autism started) that night. You DON'T NEED TO PLAY LAX to make a difference. For those on Varsity, all players that night will get to participate in the FREE raffle after the game (see the attachment). Lacrosse is just 26 days away and once again we are going to start our fundraising to benefit Autism. Our first goal is to have 20 sponsors (instead of last year's 10 sponsors) for our new 2012 BulldogGoals4Autism & BulldogSaves4Autism Shirts. So I ask you guys to reach out to local companies and businesses as well as community members to secure a Donation of $500. Their business logo or family name will be on the back of our awesome shirts. So ask around town if anyone would like to support an amazing cause! We did a great job last year, and this year we can make an even BIGGER difference SO LET'S GET IT DONE. GET INVOLVED AND BE ACTIVE!!!

PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF & MAKE A DIFFERENCE… IT’S A NO-BRAINER & THERE’S COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDIT IF YOU VOLUNTEER & GET INVOLVED. If not now, then when? If not you, then who? Please LIKE BOTH the www.facebook.com/BraveGoals4Autism page and the www.facebook.com/BULLDOGGoals4Autism page . Please READ & THEN FORWARD this post with the ATTACHED FLYER to ALL of your FB Friends, and also send it as a DIRECT MESSAGE to FIFTY (50) friends on FB-including some from other towns. 95% of the student volunteerism is performed using FB & includes great perks, including a BraveGoals T-Shirt and a letter of recommendation for college & a job. For those who consider themselves a leader & are willing to put in additional “sweat equity”, EXECUTIVE TITLES are also available.

We need volunteers to help out at future events (e.g., a bike-a-thon, an autism awareness LAX tournament and at a party), to recruit other volunteers, to help with marketing, to help kids with autism play sports at “challenger” events and/or to secure 10 donations of $20 each, all of which will ultimately (1) help provide for the educational & social skill enhancement and (2) promote awareness, tolerance & acceptance for kids with autism.

As the application process begins, for those seniors who have worked a lot and want a position/title, now is the time. And for those seniors who have not done much yet, it's not too late to get involved and get a title! We still have shirts to sell and money to raise. We plan to have several fundraisers this year.
