We have an election coming up Novemeber 4th for the Mayor of Sylvester.

Voter registration deadline for those not currently registered to vote ends October 6th

My goal is to get more people involved in the voting process and to be a vessel for the community to provide some form of relief financially as well as transparency.

In light of the recent news of a possible shooting threat at WCMS, i encourage everyone who is willing and able to keep an eye out on the school when you are able. Even if just for a few minutes.

The greater our presence is the less likely it will be things can happen.

Presently I see 1 officers car parked out front, as I eat lunch across the road.

Well most have seen this, here is a perfect example of what we will call deranged employees. They work for me/you they represent me/you.

Did the citizens get to vote on this? Did they ask anyone's thoughts or opinions?

Attend the meetings many will say, if you have done so you have witnessed them leave the room to go in a different room to discuss matters in private. What's the point of a public meeting if yall are going to go in a back room?

I myself pay city taxes, yet I do not have city power, nor city water. The only reason I am taxed by the city is because they own land near me that they want to keep
zoned as in the city.

The only person who has even attempted to make things right is Mr Hayes.

I could not vote in the last election for Mayor because they had my voting precinct info messed up. Taxation without representation?

I started this page because of my whole situation, I refuse to allow our town to treat us the same way our federal government does.

First the tax commissioner situation that was brushed under the rug, then another lady within the local government who was stealing. People like me paying them and getting nothing in return for it.

Yall get free money from me that will cover a lot of reconnect fees, then the mural. Yall paid for that and didn't do anything to protect it. Yall are getting pretty sloppy and WE won't stand for it. Tightened up or hit the road!

I started to post several times about the tragic events that took place at Antioch.

I had several family members in attendance and just received a single text from one of them, enough to know a large portion of my family were OK. Then I got to thinking I don't know who all went, couldn't reach anyone I suspected was there. So I went to the scene!

I made contact with a gentleman there helping to keep traffic under control. I knew of 2 names before arriving, but I confirmed it was 3 victims. At which point I knew all 3 names.

I felt there might have been others out there like myself who were worried about their loved ones and couldn't just up and leave. But I also felt it wasn't my place to do so.

Now everyone knows the names and the details, I do feel there is a need for the public to get direct information about these types of scenarios. We all eventually find out various versions of the story in the end.

None the less the whole situation is just heart breaking, to imagine the hurt is impossible. My heart truly goes out to Trentons family, all who were involved today. Many saw the whole event take place, I also heard of several near misses. So many lives forever changed at one place!

Both names I had heard before arriving I knew. Even after finding out all the names I stayed so I could put eyes on all my family.

A tragic accident at a church during a funeral, none of it seems fair. Why? How?

One thing is for sure our little town will come together for one another, and that is something I hope we never lose. It's like a step back in time when people actually gave a rip for one another. We ARE an example for others in terms of banding together for the greater good!

We are the backbone of America and I am proud to call Worth co "home"!

Sylvester is extra concerned about your safety today, not sure what's special about today versus others but I saw 3 units had 3 different vehicles pulled over right near the Pig and Dollar Tree

So I have waited a few days on this one, I wish I had more free time. If I did the internet wouldn't be the only way I would voice my concern.

Your city has shown they either or not believers or they read a different Bible than I do.

I will start by saying I know or have known several who claim to like the same s*x. I would never treat someone different because of their choice, but I would never pretend it is right.

The Bible very clearly tells us this is a sin, while no sin is greater than another. To me this is something as a society we can not sit idle and ignore.

Relationships are meant to be between a man and woman, reproduction can't happen with 2 people of the same s*x.

Whoever it was that gave the approval for this to be put up, I will find out and you will hear from me personally. You can support sin and even be a sinner but we won't let you force it on us!

Tomorrow we need to get out and VOTE! Here is a same of some questions you will be presented with depending on which party you align with.

More freedom is what we need, not more laws and more people to tell us what we can and can't do!

They work for us, we have all forgotten we hold the power to give them their power. Let's not let them forget that, mess up on your job and your gone. Their jobs should be no different!

I started this page as a way to try and get the public involved with local elections and or politics. But the main goal was a form of transparency which all forms of government lack. Some might say it is because of laws against speaking out against things, but I don't buy it. What's right is right and what's wrong is not.

Here lately the only news worthy of posting is arrest, people being caught not filing their taxes properly while making sure we pay ours as we should. To someone else stealing money and get caught.

Over the past few years I have experienced families I attend church with being involved in child molestation cases. Many have heard the most recent news of a case with 70 counts here in Sylvester.

I will be honest I would rather not speak on it, but then I am no better than anyone else who brushes things under the table.

I knew this man, fairly well I thought, but apparently did not know him as well as I thought. Part of me thinks maybe he turned his life around being these claims are from 2016. But I am not God, and forgetting about what was obviously done to a child/children is not something I can do.

I will be the first to admit I am not a kid person, I love my own and will step up to help where I can because the world lacks people willing to do the things the kids in our community need/deserve.

But I will never remain silent or tolerate someone taking the innocence of a child. These are God's children we have been given the opportunity to have an impact in their lives. We all fall short in some way or another. We all have things in our lives that not everyone knows. But I have zero sympathy for an adult that takes advantage of a child.

As a Christian we are taught we should pray for people in these situations, and I will pray for the children. But I must admit I can't bring myself to pray for someone who harms an innocent child. I may have shade thrown on me for admitting this but I am thick skinned and can handle it.

A church is a hospital, but if you are actively doing things such as harming a child and attending church regularly you are of the devil.

No matter how hard it may be for me to do so, I will continue to speak out against things that are not right. And try to do so in a way that is somewhat tactful and not tacky.

In a world filled with people who refuse to step up to the plate and do what is needed, I will be that person each and every time. I am not perfect, and don't want anyone to think I am.

The truth will set you free, be honest with yourself first. Then you can become honest with those around you.

70 counts of molestation,sodomy, etc won't go well in prison. One things for sure prisoners have more morals in this regard than some who are free. May God have mercy on the soul of this man and the children that were victims!

The 1st Saturday of the month is coming up!

We will again be meeting here in Sylvester to discuss current events taking place in the US and world.

Maybe you are fearful of the things your seeing and just need others to talk to about that. Or your like most of us and see the need for something to be done but don't know where to start or what to do.

While we do not have all the answers, I can assure you doing nothing isn't the answer. Meeting together we can bounce concerns and/or ideas off of one another. In doing so surely we can come up with ways to make a difference.

We must unite under the umbrella of concern, because divided is what our establishment wishes for us to be. Whether or not you believe it we ALL have common grounds that are far more important than our differences.
