Looking for a way to spice things up? We've got the perfect solution for you. Come check out our hot sauces and spices from Braswell's. It's a Georgia-based company from just down the road in Statesboro. The spices are great to use for your summer cook outs, and the hot sauces can add that little extra heat to your otherwise ordinary recipes. Come see this and more in our gift shop, here at the Sylvania Visitor Center. Open Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 to 5:30. We hope to see you soon!!😊

We normally post pictures with bright sunny skies with fluffy white clouds overlooking our beautiful visitor center. However, today we are proud to post a picture with raindrops and puddles all around!! We are so happy to see rain, and so are all of our grass, trees, and pretty plants. They might be looking a little more perky this week!!🌧️🌳🌺🪻

The State of Georgia is currently under a Level 1 Drought Response, as issued by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD).

To help conserve water and protect our natural resources, the following measures are now in effect throughout the park:

Water Use Guidelines:
•Avoid unnecessary water use whenever possible.
•Limit shower times and turn off water while brushing teeth or washing dishes.
•Do not leave faucets running unattended.
•Report any leaks or dripping fixtures to park staff immediately.

Outdoor Water Use:
•Washing of vehicles, campers, or equipment by guests is prohibited.
•Use of hoses should be minimized and only used for essential purposes.

These small steps make a big difference in preserving water resources during dry conditions. We appreciate your cooperation in helping protect the environment and ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Yogi bear invites you to come enjoy our beautiful park area. We are proud of our latest addition, this lovely swing, which is a perfect spot to sit and breath some fresh air and take in some great scenery. We would like to thank our friends at George L Smith state park for installing the swing for our visitors to enjoy. It's a perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon picnic, but be careful Yogi just might take your basket when you're not looking!!😜
