As part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week, a tornado drill will occur at 9:30am today (February 4) for all NOAA Weather Radio transmitters in Georgia. Residents, schools, & businesses are encouraged to participate. The weekly test for South Carolina transmitters will occur at 11am as usual.

Icy conditions have made many roads across the city and county **ARE EXTREMELY ICY**. Travel is extremely dangerous, and even experienced drivers cannot maintain control with no traction.

🚫 **Do not drive unless it’s an absolute emergency.**
Staying off the roads helps prevent crashes and allows first responders to stay safe and keeps roads clear for emergencies.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and
4 inches.

* WHERE...In Georgia, Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Jenkins, and
Screven Counties. In South Carolina, Allendale, Beaufort, Coastal
Colleton, Coastal Jasper, Hampton, Inland Colleton, and Inland
Jasper Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 AM Saturday to 1 PM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the
