SCOPE OF WORK
PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Village Bandstand is a prominent focal point in the Main Street Park. Built in the 70's, the bandstand has been heavily used over the years for everything from park concerts, weddings, dancing classes and multiple various community events. It is in a state of disrepair, has poorly designed ingress and egress, has inadequate electrical power and does not meet current construction or maintenance standards.
PROJECT SCOPE
This project entails making necessary safety and aesthetic repairs, redesign and construction of new ingress and egress points, upgrade of electrical and lighting capabilities and add new sidewalks to accommodate the new entrance points. The following Task List outlines the scope items for the project and the corresponding cost estimate.
TASK LIST
1. Remove (demo) access stairs and rails on the southwest and the northeast side
2. Fill in both areas with new skirting and matching metal railings
3. Construct new 8' wide steps (concrete or composite decking material) with matching metal railings on the south side and construct new handicap ramp on the north side.
4. Replace all deteriorated skirting and replace all flooring with composite decking material
5. Scrape/sandblast and paint all existing railing
6. Paint entire structure
7. Replace existing roof
8. Install all new LED lighting
9. Repair/replace all electrical service and add new outlets to handle musical amps, portable lighting and new lighting
10. Replace all existing lighting with new controllable, LED lighting
11. Reposition sidewalks for the new North and South access
12. Dispose of removed materials and construction debris.
