Does anyone remember French seams from their high school home ec class? Not me. Our stitchers' group was working hard yesterday sewing them in creating multiple pillowcases that will be added to this year's Christmas Boxes. With a recent fabric donation from Luxury Therapeutics of Franklin, the group had lots of patterns and colors to choose from, which resulted in some interesting combinations that turned out absolutely beautiful!

Some of our participants went to Ripley’s Aquarium today. Everyone had fun. Please excuse me on the mic lol. I had it close to my mouth.

More photos of our recent Elvis celebration; they are just too good not to share!

Last Friday, August 21, 2026, the Heritage Room came alive as we celebrated Elvis with the sounds of The Goldenaires and Mr. Tim Beck, which inspired singing from the crowd and outbreaks of spontaneous dancing. We put together just a few moments of the show for you. Enjoy!

Meet David. He's enjoying his second career as a master shipbuilder. On August 5, he brought his miniature ship in for an impromptu show-n-tell. As his daughter explained, David's ship didn't come from a kit, but was made from many items he collected or were given to him from friends and family. Everybody loved it, and he happily answered all their questions. Thank you, David. We so enjoyed seeing your craft!

Get Up Offa That Thing and shake till you feel better! Led by Health & Wellness Manager, Laura Rodi, JCDOA offers so many wonderful activities to inspire our seniors to get up and move. See at the end our centenarian, Ms. Ruth Bryson, rockin' it into the next 100 years with so much life yet to live! She is certainly an inspiration to us all!

What a hoot! Tina and I (Deidre) were laughing so hard and so enjoying this practice session of the Goldenaires, I couldn't keep the camera straight. It is so heartwarming to have the sounds of this group echoing once more through our halls. May they bless us all with their witty banter and joyful song for many, many years to come!
