UPDATE: 2/14/2025 – 3:30 p.m.: Water service has been fully restored to all affected areas. However, for TWSA customers who experienced low water pressure, the system pressure advisory is still in effect. Regulations require us to test water samples and confirm they are satisfactory before lifting the advisory. These tests take at least 24 hours, so we will provide another update by Saturday, February 15th, at 2:00 p.m.

As a follow-up, services are being restored currently. The system pressure advisory remains in place for TWSA customers that lost pressure. Most TWSA water customers were not impacted as the impact was specific to Cullowhee. However, some customers in locations in Webster and higher elevations in South Sylva may have temporarily lost pressure.

Please see the attached notice! The boil water advisory is no longer in effect as of 2:00 p.m. October, 2, 2024.

Please be mindful of our tired and strained staff. They have served their community with commitment and excellence and I could not be more proud!

I ask that if you see a TWSA truck, employee or any other utility worker from any type of utility, that you think about how hard they have worked to restore our community and others. They are behind the scenes heroes!!!
