🗳️ The NC Trusted Elections Tour is coming to Sylva!

Join us on Tuesday, September 15, at the Jackson County Public Library, 310 Keener St., Sylva, for a free, nonpartisan town hall about how elections are administered in North Carolina.

Election officials will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m. to help attendees register to vote or update their voter registration. The town hall begins at 6 p.m. and will feature Jackson County election administrators and board of elections members discussing how elections are administered, answering questions, and engaging in a respectful community conversation.

Panelists include Amanda Allen, Jackson County Election Director; Jay Pavey, Jackson County Board of Elections Member; and Roy Osborn, Jackson County Board of Elections Member.

Election Season officially begins this week!

✅Sample ballots are available in-office, on our website & using the SBE Voter Search Tool (link below). The Voter Search Tool allows you to verify your registration info, get voting site hours/directions, & view sample ballots!

✅Absentee by-mail ballots hit the post office Friday! These can be requested through 10/20, as long as you are registered by 10/9.

✅Not registered yet? You have until 10/9 to register for absentee or Election Day voting, or register & vote during Early Voting (10/15-31) at 5 locations!

✅Start doing your research now using trustworthy sources! It's a long ballot, so start your prep today!

Search for voter details, including jurisdictions, polling place, sample ballot when available, absentee ballot information, and voter history.

Yesterday, the Board awarded certificates & prizes to the Top Three Finalists of the 2026 "I Voted" sticker contest! Each child received a certificate & gift cards to local businesses. We're so proud of these creative kids & appreciated their vision for Jackson Co. polling site stickers!
