We are VERY excited to have Dr. Ferguson as our medical director!

Introducing our medical director, Dr. Ferguson, who joined the Life Saver family in January!

“I am very excited to be officially involved with Air Methods. There is no better job than doing emergency care (medicine) whether in the field, back of a truck, in an aircraft, or in the ED. There is always an opportunity to learn, grow, and help. Plus, you have the added benefit of working alongside some of the greatest people."

Before graduating from medical school in 2010, Dr. Ferguson worked as an EMT and later as an ER nurse for 14 years. He has also been a member of the flightline. He currently serves as the Director of the Office of EMS at UAB and is the medical director for Birmingham EMS and fire. He has been actively involved with our education, case reviews and we are truly so lucky to have him. Welcome to our family, Dr. Ferguson!

Thank you for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support for our LifeSaver crews and their families. We continue to lift our fallen teammates, Pilot Marc Gann and Nurse Adam Russell, and their families in prayer. We are grateful that our injured teammate, Paramedic Amanda Daniels, is on the road to recovery.

A memorial honoring our teammates will be held on Tuesday, April 11 at 10 a.m. CT at Legion Stadium at Sylacauga High School, 701 N. Broadway Ave. For those who are not local, the service will be live-streamed. Stay tuned for details on how to access the live stream, and please continue to keep LifeSaver 4 and all those impacted in your thoughts and prayers.
