County Line Fire & Rescue is proud to announce the appointment of our new Station Supervisor, Mitch Hansell.

This role is far more than just keeping things tidy; it is the backbone of maintaining a professional, ready, and safe environment for our members and the community we serve. From ensuring our station remains clean and fully sanitized, to keeping our supplies organized, stocked, and mission ready, the Station Supervisor plays a critical part in our daily operations and overall readiness.

FF Hansell has already shown exceptional pride, dedication, and attention to detail in caring for the 16 house. His commitment to maintaining a clean, structured, and well-prepared station reflects the high standards we strive for at County Line Fire & Rescue. He stepped into this role without hesitation and has already made a noticeable impact.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Kathy for her time and effort as Station Supervisor. Due to changes in her home and family schedule, she needed to step away from the position, and we are grateful for everything she contributed during her time in the role.

Please join us in thanking Kathy for her time in this role, and congratulating Mitch Hansell as he continues to lead by example and take pride in keeping the 16 house in top shape.

⚠️ 🔥Burn Safety Reminder 🔥⚠️

Please remember that it is still too dry to burn. Even with the small amount of rain we’ve had tonight, conditions remain extremely dry, and any fire can quickly get out of control. We strongly urge everyone to refrain from open burning until weather conditions improve.

This evening, we responded to a brush fire that rapidly spread, ultimately engulfing two vehicles and burning over 3 acres of land. What may start as a small, controlled burn can turn dangerous in a matter of minutes under these conditions.

We would like to extend our thanks to Town of Oak Grove Fire Department, Hollins Fire Department, and the Alabama Forestry Commission for their assistance. After approximately 4 and a half hours of hard work, crews were able to contain the fire by establishing a fire break around the area.

Please avoid burning, stay aware, and report any fires immediately.

As we head into the hotter months, we’re already seeing an increase in outdoor work, mowing, and fuel use across our community. With that comes a serious safety reminder:

🔥 USE THE RIGHT GAS CAN FOR THE RIGHT FUEL 🔥

Using the wrong container—or worse, using unapproved containers like milk jugs, bottles, or open buckets—can lead to:⚠️ Dangerous v***r buildup⚠️ Accidental ignition or explosion⚠️ Fuel contamination and equipment damage⚠️ Increased fire risk in your home or shop

🚫 Improper containers are NOT designed to safely store fuel. They can melt, leak, or build pressure—putting you and your family at risk.

🌡️ With hot weather here, remember these safety tips:
✔️ Store fuel in approved containers only
✔️ Keep fuel out of living areas (never inside your home)
✔️ Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat sources
✔️ Never leave fuel cans in direct sunlight or inside a hot vehicle
✔️ Clearly label all fuel containers
✔️ Keep fuel away from children

👨‍🚒 It only takes one mistake to start a fire. Let’s stay safe and protect our homes, families, and community.

✝️🌅 He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! 🌅✝️

On this blessed day, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—a reminder of hope, renewal, and the promise of eternal life.

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” – Matthew 28:6

May this Easter fill your hearts with peace, strengthen your faith, and remind us all of the power of love and sacrifice.

From all of us at County Line Fire & Rescue, we pray you and your family have a safe and blessed Easter.

🚒 Serving with faith, honor, and dedication—today and always.
