Welcome to Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department. Located at 6680 Sykesville Rd Sykesville, Md 21784, SFDFD is here to protect the citizens of the Sykesville/Eldersburg area. To become a member, call us or visit our website. If you would like to join our department and you are 12-16 years of age, we offer a junior department. We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and made this year's carnival another great success!

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the numerous volunteers who tirelessly worked behind the scenes, setting up stands, preparing food, parking cars, and undertaking various other critical tasks. Each evening, as they do every day, our members worked alongside CCDFEMS personnel to ensure the community's protection. When a call came in some members would leave their stands and respond promptly to the call while others maintained the carnival's operations.

We are privileged to have such a committed team. If you are interested in becoming part of this team, we are always looking for new members. We have roles for firefighters, EMTs, and administrative members. No experience is required, and all required training is provided at no cost. If you are looking for a new challenge with a dedicated team, please follow the link to complete an application.

The members of the Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department would like to say Thank You to our community and everyone who came out to support our biggest Fundraiser of the year.

We had good weather for the week, awesome enterainment, delicious food, many games of chance winners. All in all it was a good sucess.

All winners for raffles and gun jars will be posted on www.sykesvillefire.org

Now Carnival is over we are starting to plan for next year. Some changes are coming for 2027, and we would love to hear from you. What did you like or dislike, what would you change. The Carnival Committee will take all suggestions under advisement.
