In today's art class, students are fusing painting and collage techniques to create a seascape with a lighthouse as the central focal point. The bottom section of the canvas features a beautiful seascape produced using specialty papers torn to create wave effects, while students design and craft their unique lighthouses situated just beyond the waves. Today's class centered on VALUE. We started with an exploration of value and its significance in creating form and depth. We created a value scale by making tints and shades of our main color, orange. Our desert scenes were then painted using the full range of values.
