Yay! We love to see our Departments supporting our community! 🥳

Thank you to the DeKalb County Circuit Clerk's Office for their generous donation of $400 to VAC's Meals on Wheels program.

The staff recently pooled their own cash contributions to support local seniors, demonstrating the power of community and compassion in action. Their generosity will help provide nutritious meals and friendly wellness checks to older adults throughout our service area.

We are grateful for partners like the DeKalb County Circuit Clerk's Office who help ensure seniors can remain healthy, independent, and connected. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.

🚧PROJECT UPDATE: Plans to complete roadway damages and re-open Old State Road (closure from Esmond Road east to Goelitz Road) is scheduled for the end of the day on Thursday, June 18th.

🚧 Road Closure Notice 🚧

The DeKalb County Highway Department would like to inform the traveling public that, due to damage caused by last night's severe weather, Old State Road is closed from Esmond Road east to Goelitz Road until further notice.

The roadway is expected to remain closed into next week while crews assess and complete necessary repairs.

⚠️ Please obey all posted signs and barricades. They are in place for your safety and the safety of our crews.

The DeKalb County Board proudly recognized nine local Veterans as the newest inductees into the DeKalb County Veterans Honor Roll.

Established in 2011 through a partnership between the DeKalb County Clerk & Recorder, Illinois and the DeKalb County Veterans Assistance Commission, the Honor Roll permanently preserves the names and military service of local Veterans in the official records of DeKalb County.

🦺PROJECT UPDATE: Due to weather related delays, the one-day road closure is re-scheduled for Thursday, June 18th on Old State Road, it will be closed from Glidden Road east to Church Road for the day.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: Old State Road 🚧

Heads up, travelers! On June 18 (weather permitting), Old State Road will be closed between Glidden Road East to Church Road from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Please plan an alternate route, allow extra travel time, and follow all posted signs, barricades, and flaggers for your safety and the safety of workers.

In observance of Juneteenth, most DeKalb County Government offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Juneteenth is a day of reflection, recognition, and celebration of freedom, resilience, and the continued progress toward opportunity and equality for all.

While most County offices will be closed, many essential services and dedicated employees will remain on duty to ensure public safety and critical operations continue uninterrupted. We are grateful for their commitment to serving our community every day.

We wish everyone a meaningful Juneteenth and look forward to serving you when offices reopen.
