Eastbound I-376 Parkway East Nightly Lane Closure This Week in Pittsburgh, Edgewood

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a nightly lane closure on eastbound I-376 (Parkway East) in Edgewood Borough and the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Tuesday through Thursday nights, June 16-18 weather permitting.

A single right lane closure on eastbound I-376 will occur between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and the Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) interchange from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM each night. Crews will use the closed lane on the existing bridge to conduct concrete and barrier work on the new bridge.

Please use caution in the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.

The Schley Avenue Sanitary Sewer line replacement project will begin this week. Work includes the replacement of the entire sanitary sewer line and all manholes on Schley Avenue from Monroe Street to Collingwood Avenue. Parking on Schley Avenue will be restricted during daylight hours so that the crew from S&E Utility Services can perform the necessary work. We are currently working with the contractor to develop a phasing plan so residents will know when they need to move their cars depending on which block they live on. The project will begin at Collingwood Avenue and work toward Monroe Street. Cars should be moved from the block between Collingwood Avenue and Prospect Street beginning tomorrow (Wednesday, June 10, 2026) until further notice. We will provide updates on this page throughout the project. Any questions can be directed to the Swissvale Borough Administrative Office at 412-271-7101.
