Something exciting is taking shape at the City Pool!

Sandblasting was completed today as crews begin preparing the pool for a fresh new plaster finish. This is just the beginning of some exciting improvements coming to the pool, and we can’t wait to show you more as the project moves forward.

A special thank you to Sweetwater Economic Development for their assistance and support in helping make this project possible.

**UPDATE: Mustang Harbor Splash Pad is now closed for the season.**

We apologize for the change from the information shared earlier today and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you to everyone who visited Mustang Harbor Splash Pad this summer! We loved seeing families enjoy the splash pad throughout the season and look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.

Today is the final day of the season at the Mustang Harbor Splash Pad. The splash pad will remain open through dusk tonight, so there’s still time to squeeze in one more trip down the slide before we officially say goodbye to summer.

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their summer splashing, playing and making memories with us. We’ll see you next season!

Today, we remember.

Twenty-five years ago, our nation was forever changed by the events of September 11, 2001.

We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless individuals whose lives were forever impacted by that day.

May we continue to remember the courage, sacrifice and unity shown in the days that followed.

We will never forget.

Before Sweetwater became the community we know today, it was a Wild West town, and First Baptist Church was right there growing alongside it.

In this month’s Sweetwater Stories, 32nd Judicial District Judge Glen Harrison shares how the history of First Baptist Church intersects with the history of Sweetwater itself. Established during the town’s early days, the congregation was once described as “a pretty lively little church” — fitting for a church finding its footing in the Wild West.

Take a look back at the people, faith and stories woven into Sweetwater’s history in this month’s Sweetwater Stories. Pioneer City-County Museum First Baptist Church Sweetwater, TX
