NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001
25 YEARS LATER
Twenty-five years later, our nation still remembers the day that changed America forever.
On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 innocent lives were lost, including 343 firefighters and 37 Port Authority Police Officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while running toward danger to save others.
Twenty-five years later, their courage has not been forgotten. Their sacrifice has not been forgotten. Their stories have not been forgotten.
Today, we remember the victims, honor the heroes, and recognize the countless first responders who answered the call that day. We also remember the families who were forever changed and the generations that have grown up knowing September 11 as a day of remembrance.
Their sacrifice reminds us of the true meaning of service, courage, and selflessness.
The Nolan County Sheriff’s Office stands with our brothers and sisters in law enforcement, fire, EMS, and the military who continue to protect and serve our communities every day.
Twenty-five years later, we remember.
Twenty-five years later, we honor.
Twenty-five years later, we will never forget.
