Did you know that every child within Sweet Home School District boundaries can get a FREE library card? Visit us at 1101 13th Avenue to sign up!

Sweet Home Students! Thanks to a partnership with the Sweet Home School District all kids attending a Sweet Home School can get a FREEE library card no matter where they live! This includes all Sweet Home schools, the Charter School and Home Schoolers! If you have a kid starting Kindergarten in the Fall of 2026 you can also stop in and get them a library card now!

Mark your calendars and join us Friday, June 12th for our first Movies in the Park of 2026! For our June movie we will be showing "Zootopia 2". Mark your calendars for June 13, 2026, and plan to join us from 9 AM - noon at Sankey Park for the 2026 Jim Bean Safety Fair presented by Sweet Home Police Department and the Sweet Home Public Library. There will be raffles, games, hotdogs, popcorn, a bike rodeo, FREE bike helmets (while supplies last), and much more!

This event will also be the official kickoff to the Summer Reading Program at the Sweet Home Public Library, and you can get kids of all ages signed up to participate!

Our Community Garden at Strawberry Park is still available for plot reservations!! We have 6 plots left this year! Plots are $30 per year, and are first come, first serve. You must come in person to City Hall at 3225 Main St. and sign a waiver and pay the fee.

$30 leases your plot until Dec. 31, 2026. Some rules do apply and are clearly stated on the waiver of liability that must be signed. Water is available on site and its use is included in your lease, but all watering cans and gardening tools will be the responsibility of plot lessees. Lessees are responsible for 100% care of your plot, however you can share your plot with others.

Please ask for Cindi or Adam when you come to City Hall. We will update this post when all plots are reserved.
