A test of outdoor warning sirens will be conducted on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18th at 1:00 p.m. This test is part of a statewide tornado drill during Severe Weather Preparedness Week.

Genesee County Emergency Management has also released the schedule of outdoor warning siren tests to occur on the following Saturdays in 2026:

March 07, 2026, April 04, 2026, May 02, 2026, June 06, 2026, July 11, 2026, August 01, 2026, September 05, 2026, and October 03, 2026. All are scheduled for 1:00p.m. (Please note that Saturday July 04, 2026, was moved to July 11, 2026, due to the Holiday.)

If severe weather is predicted or happening during the scheduled time of testing, it will be cancelled for that month as to not cause unwarranted public fear.
