Hyde County needs precinct workers for the November 3 General Election.
Precinct workers are the neighbors who help keep Election Day running smoothly. Responsibilities may include setting up the polling place, checking in voters, processing ballots, assisting voters who need help, and securing the site after the polls close.
This is a paid position, and training is provided. Election Day is a long day, but it is meaningful work and a great opportunity to serve your community while learning more about the election process.
Applicants generally must be registered voters who live in the precinct where they wish to serve. High school students who will be at least 17 years old by Election Day may also qualify with permission from a parent or guardian and their school principal or director.
We are looking for people who are dependable, patient, accurate, comfortable helping the public, and able to work as part of a team.
