It's time for a feel good story, wouldn't you agree?

Engine 4 got called out to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident on Sunnyside Road earlier this morning. We are relieved to report that the patient was in stable condition, but the patient's belongings needed to be returned home, including a power chair and groceries. (Engines aren't exactly designed to transport power chairs.)

E4, using their critical thinking skills, assigned a firefighter the task of returning the items. With a smile on his face and the rest of the E4 crew cheering him on (as seen in the reflection in the window), he rode off into the sunset (okay, not really, but it sounded good).

The crew did make it to the patient's nearby apartment, contacted management, and was able to get the power chair plugged back in and the groceries put away in the refrigerator.

During a time when it seems there's only negative stories out there, we thought this one might bring a smile to your face today. Stay safe, and please keep a watchful eye out for pedestrians and others sharing our roadways and sidewalks.
