We had a special guest and some special treats this afternoon at the last BOOKENDs book discussion of the season! A big thank you to Lynne Rae Perkins for joining us to talk about her books, her writing/art process, and sharing some of her original artwork with us. Check out the gorgeous diorama she brought based on Violet & Jobie in the Wild! We also had little cookies shaped like mice.

BOOKENDs, the library's book discussion group, will not meet in July or August, as the group takes a summer hiatus. The library will have its annual Book Lovers Mixer in late August, so keep your eye out for more bookish fun then.

There are eleven new bestsellers, one new movie, nine new children's books, and 21 other new books.

The new bestsellers this week include "Yesteryear," "The Calamity Club," and "Land." The new movie this week is "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die."
