🚲The Class of 2026 has officially conquered Mackinac Island! From May 18th to May 20th, our Suttons Bay seniors traded in their laptops for bike helmets and historic trails, wrapping up their high school journey with a wonderful island adventure.

The fun started the second they hopped off the ferry and grabbed bikes to pedal around the beautiful coastline. They took a trip back in time to explore the historic Fort, diving into Michigan history while soaking up the beautiful panoramic lake views. Once the sun went down on their first night, things got spooky as they braved the dark for a Haunted Island Tour filled with the island's rich history and legendary ghost stories! 👻

Day two brought good vibes and friendly competition with putt-putt golf at Mission Point right on Lake Huron, plus plenty of free time to shop downtown. To wrap it all up, their final evening was extra special as the whole class gathered for a memorable group dinner at the famous Pink Pony Restaurant—the perfect atmosphere to celebrate lifelong friendships before graduation.

We are so proud of how this group represented SBHS! A massive thank you to our class advisor, Mrs. Porter, and our awesome chaperones, Mr. Urbano and Mrs. TwoCrow, for making this fun and educational trip a reality. 🦅❤️

🎓 The Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2026 will take place Friday, May 29th at 6pm in the HS Auditorium!

🏀 Take home a piece of the Old Gym Floor! As we say goodbye to the old gym floor, the SB Sports Boosters wants to give those memories back to you! This floor is where three generations of Norsemen played their first games, walked at graduation, and made memories that lasted a lifetime.

We are offering large pieces (approximately 5'x5') of original flooring to our community by donation. Every dollar raised goes directly to support our student-athletes in elementary, middle and high school. You aren't just taking home a piece of wood; you're supporting our students.

This event is first come, first serve! Thursday, May 28th from 5-7pm at the Suttons Bay Old Middle School Gym. Most pieces are large, bring a truck and a friend to help you load up! Ideas of what to make with your piece: corn hole boards, coat rack, shelves, table, frames.

📣 We are thrilled to share that Adam Couturier, SBPS’s HS English/Language Arts teacher, has been selected as one of LMCU's 25 Roots in Education grant recipients and will receive a $1,000 grant. Adam was one of 25 selected amongst over 1,000 nominations!

Each year, this program awards twenty-five $1,000 grants to outstanding teachers across Michigan and Florida. Recipients are nominated by individuals who recognize their exceptional ability to support students, advocate for their success, and inspire them to pursue their dreams. Mr. Couturier was nominated by Superintendent Petz.

We are proud to celebrate Adam’s dedication and the positive impact he continues to make in the lives of students! ❤️
