​We had an amazing time participating in this year’s Torch Run! A little rainy weather couldn't dampen our spirits or slow us down.

Early morning crash involving a family from Washington. S/B 139 north of the Stone Ranch. Party drifted off the southbound shoulder before crashing into trees and rocks. One party was transported to Banner with minor injuries. Roadway is open at this time, but will be closed intermittently for vehicle recovery when tow arrives

A reminder: an E motorcycle 🏍️ is not an E-bike ⚡️!

To ensure safety and compliance with the law on public roads, riders operating an E motorcycle must:

1. Hold a **valid driver’s license** with a **Class M1 endorsement**
2. Wear a **DOT-approved helmet**
3. **Register** the vehicle with the **DMV**
4. Properly **display a license plate**
5. Have the necessary **safety equipment** (brake light, headlight, turn signals)
6. Maintain **liability insurance**

**Parents/Guardians:** If your child is under 18, you may also be liable under **CVC 14607** for allowing an unlicensed minor to drive and be charged with a misdemeanor.

On this day, May 27, 1955, Officer James E. Maroney made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while serving the Northern California community. Northern Division holds his memory close to our hearts. We will always remember; we will never forget.
