March is Social Worker Appreciation Month. The theme this year is “Compassion + Action”! Our social workers show their compassion everyday while helping those navigate their difficult and often traumatic situations.

On Tuesday, the Lassen County Board of Supervisors approved a proclamation declaring March SW appreciation month and invited our workers from all the different divisions to join them in a picture!

Together we can make a change. Please if you see a social worker this month, thank them for their services!

Lassen County Child and Family Services is a division within the Community Social Services Department. Driven by a commitment to protect children and strengthen families, Lassen County’s Child and Family Services is dedicated to the delivery of compassionate, comprehensive and individualized services. Through collaboration and education, we strive to engage and empower families. Working together we achieve sustainable, positive changes in our community.
Child and Family Services is made up of our dedicated intake/emergency response and on-going units, our caregiver-focused Resource Family Team and our helpful administrative team, who are all overseen by our supportive management staff.
