One week away...this Friday the historic portion of Chippokes state park will come alive with the sites and sounds of the 18th century during the 3rd annual Prelude to Yorktown reenactment. Come tour the British and American camps. Watch the battle reenactments, and take a step back in time.

I wanted to pass on an update in regards to Prelude to Yorktown 2020 June 13-14th.

This weekend leadership of the 7th Virginia, the event Crown sponsor the 7th Royal Fusiliers and Chippoke's Plantation State Park staff have determined that planning for Prelude to Yorktown 2020 will continue. As the event scheduled in the middle of June we continue with preparations for a successful Prelude to Yorktown 2020. We will closely monitor the situation with Covid 19, but feel that currently it is to soon to make any decision in regards to changes in scheduling of the event.
