Sheriff Draper dedicated 32 years of service as Sheriff, making him the longest-serving Sheriff in the Commonwealth of Virginia. His remarkable career in law enforcement was defined by commitment, leadership, and dedication to the citizens of Martinsville, VA.

Appreciation Post!

Last week, one of our wonderful young volunteers came to the shelter to help with cleaning and caring for our animals. What we didn’t know was that she had also held a lemonade stand and raised a generous amount of money—then donated it all to our shelter!

We are incredibly grateful for her kindness, generosity, and all the help she has provided. Thank you for making such a difference for our animals!
