We are heartbroken and grieving with Columbia PD and their community as we mourn the loss of fallen officer Christopher DeLong. Please pray for Christopher’s family and remember those officers who give the ultimate sacrifice.

There are no words that make a loss like this easier.

The South Carolina Fraternal Order of Police mourns the line-of-duty death of Columbia Police Officer Chris DeLong. We grieve for his family, the officers who served beside him, and the entire Columbia Police Department.

We are also thinking of the officer wounded in today’s incident and hoping for a full recovery.

Officer DeLong gave his life while serving his community. His loss is deeply felt by law enforcement officers across South Carolina.
