Small Business Saturday = helping local veterans!

Ok so technically we are a 501(c) but I can't say it enough that 100% of the sale of these cookbooks stays in our community to help our veterans and their families. This is a win-win! You get a cookbook but what do the vets get?

Well, we've helped several individual veterans in our community who have lost their homes to fire, had to travel out of state for specialty VA medical care and even who needed major assistance after being severly injured in a motorvehicle accident.

Our Auxiliary Unit has sent many local veterans on the Northland Honor Flight to Washintgon DC. We've also provided clothing, hygiene products, food and gift cards for these necessary items to vets in need. We assist veteran retreat facilities so vets can continue to attend and benefit from the critical services provided. And we do so much more but we continue to need your help.

If for no other reason, check out the clever way we named the recipes in the peach section and comment if you figured it out. Oh and don't forget to also mention how many cookbooks you want to buy at $15 each. We've got 32 books left. If you do the math that's $480 more going straight to our veterans.

Looking good for the perfect holiday gift? Look no further. We've put together a military themed, spiral bound cookbook to cover all of the upcoming holidays and everything in between.

Did you get put in charge of bringing buns to Thanksgiving again? Spice it up with some Hot Lips Houlihan Jalapeño & Cheddar Cornbread. Impress the boss at the office party with a tray of Bazooka Brown Sugar Bites. Busy mom who needs a quick and easy meal? Try our Talk To Me Goose Tater Tot Hotdish. Holiday brunch with the girls isn't complete without Foxhole Flapjack Soakers. Add some dazzle to the cookie platter with Full Battle Rattle Fudge or Peanut Brittle on Patrol. Don't forget to ring in the New Year with a little War Is Hell Whiskey Sour Punch.

This cookbook will have you laughing as you read through the mouth watering recipes and pick your favorites. It feautures 300 recipes including 23 recipes from Mama T's Smokin' Eats and a subcategory just for peaches to go along with our annual peach sale. The cost is $15 and every cent of our remaining inventory will go to local veterans.

Message us or text 218-591-1869 today to get your copy before they're gone!

Havanas

The idea of Havana’s Bar and Restaurant all began with two brothers backed by a family with a longing for serving nothing short of great food. The dream began in 2006, in the small town of Floodwood, MN, at their “Catfish Days” Festival held in July every summer. Partnered with the family business, Rich Cuisine LLC, the two brothers, Jake and Zack, would pack up a suitcase once a year for the weekend to join in on the festival fun serving authentic Cuban Sandwiches to the festival attendees. Fast forward, to June of 2020 and the birth of the COVID pandemic, we had an epiphany moment… Why not serve these great sandwiches that people know and love in our very own hometown of Superior? One month later, on July 1st, 2020, “Superior Cubans” was launched at 1202 Ogden Ave. In 2022, the addition of a Mobile Food Trailer brought a large growth and following to the company. After years of success, we have now expanded our brand into a full-scale bar and restaurant doing what we know best!
