Silicon Valley Clean Energy A community-owned not-for-profit electricity provider offering clean power at competitive rates. SVCE works in partnership with PG&E.

Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) provides residents and businesses with clean electricity from renewable and carbon-free sources at competitive rates. SVCE is locally governed by 13 jurisdictions in Santa Clara County. SVCE buys clean electricity direct from the source—encouraging the kind of market growth and competition that results in more renewable energy sources and lower energy generation rates. PG&E delivers the electricity over existing power lines, and continues to maintain the lines and provide customer service as they always have. Your bill continues to come from PG&E, with SVCE generation charges replacing those from PG&E.

It's time to clear the air on the value of electric heat pumps vs gas furnaces and water heaters. 🏡

Dr. Lisa Patel explains what dirty air does: asthma, pneumonia, heart and lung disease, plus missed school, missed work and medical bills. 🫁

Gas furnaces and water heaters are a big source of Bay Area NOx pollution. Heat pumps aren’t. They're the most efficient water heating option, without the pollution. ⚡

The zero-NOx rules are projected to prevent up to 85 premature deaths and up to $890M in health costs every year. No one has to replace an appliance that still works. 💚

Clean air is the right thing for our health and our future. 🌉

🎥It's time to clear the air on the value of electric heat pumps vs gas furnaces and water heaters.

Every big transition starts with worry, then gets easier. Zoe Elizabeth, SVCE's Director of Decarbonization Policy and Community Strategies, explains why heat pumps are following the same path for better health, and how families are saving: electricity rates that can lower the cost of all your electricity, plus utility rebates for heat pump water heaters (more if you're income-qualified). 💡

knows how to host an event!🥘

We loved tabling at this Live Induction Cooking Experience! Attendees enjoyed delicious food, learned about rebates and programs that can help make home electrification more affordable, and watched Chef Shivaranjini of Suggi Oota restaurant showcase the power of induction cooking.

SVCE was also excited to provide one of the raffle prizes: a brand-new induction cooktop! 🎉

Thanks to everyone who came out and visited our table. Happy cooking!

Does induction cook better than gas? Chef Matt Dailey says "Absolutely!" 🥘
We loved listening to Chef Dailey's words of wisdom! They (along with his tacos) were further proof that you don't need a gas stove to cook a truly luxurious meal. If you're ready to switch to induction, SVCE offers a rebate for upgrading! Visit our website to learn how to go electric 🍳
