🎉 9/1 was a milestone moment for Sunnyvale!
After years of work behind the scenes, I’m thrilled to see Sunnyvale Beam officially launch! 🚐
As Mayor, I’ve personally advocated for this electric, last-mile transportation solution for years and worked to help secure state funding to get the program started. Seeing it go from an idea to a service our community can actually use is incredibly rewarding.

So, what is Sunnyvale Beam?�Beam is Sunnyvale’s new on-demand shared transit service, making it easier, cleaner, and more affordable to get around town. Whether you’re commuting, running errands, heading to school, or connecting to Caltrain and VTA, Beam is here to help!
Here’s what you need to know:

💲 Affordable fares:�• $3.50 per ride�• $1.75 for seniors 65+, youth ages 13–18, low-income riders, and people with disabilities�• Additional passengers are just $1 each

Yesterday was a milestone moment for our community! 🎉 After years of hard work behind the scenes, I am beyond thrilled to share that Sunnyvale Beam officially had its Kickoff Day! I had been personally advocating for this EV powered, last-mile solution for years as Mayor (and pushed to help get state funding to start our program).

🚐Sunnyvale Beam is our city’s brand-new, on-demand shared transit service designed to make getting around town easier, cleaner, and more affordable for everyone. Whether you're running errands, commuting, heading to school, or connecting to Caltrain and VTA, Beam is here to serve you.

🌈 Celebrating Diversity & Inclusion in Santa Clara County! 🏳️‍🌈 Silicon Valley Pride is here this weekend, bringing our entire South Bay community together under this year’s theme: “Flourish & Bloom.” 🌸✨

It was an honor to welcome Jamie Cabrera (he/him), Chief Growth Officer of Silicon Valley Pride, to Sunnyvale City Council earlier this month to proclaim August as SV Pride Month! 🙏THANKS to the incredible work SV Pride is doing across Santa Clara County, and reminding us how vital it is to lift up our LGBTQ+ neighbors, families, and businesses.

In Sunnyvale, our community’s greatest strength is its vibrant diversity. Supporting events like SV Pride reaffirms our commitment to ensuring every resident feels valued, safe, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
