Market Monday: The housing market showed signs of stability in July. According to the National Association of REALTORS®, existing-home sales dipped 1.7 percent for the month, while the national median sales price reached $431,400. Inventory held at a 4.6-month supply, giving buyers more choices than they had in tighter markets. National numbers are only part of the picture, though. Local conditions can look very different, which is why working with a REALTOR® who understands your market matters.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flights 11, 77, 93, and 175. We honor the victims, the first responders, the families forever changed, and all those whose lives were touched by that day. May we never forget their lives, their courage, and their sacrifice.

What Clients Ask Wednesday: Why does local market data matter? National headlines can be useful, but real estate is local. Inventory, pricing, days on market, buyer activity, and neighborhood trends can vary widely from one area to another. Local data helps buyers and sellers make decisions based on the market they are actually in.

What Clients Ask Wednesday: What happens after an offer is accepted? Once an offer is accepted, the transaction moves into the next phase. That may include earnest money, inspections, financing steps, appraisal, title review, repair discussions, signing documents, and preparing for closing.
