Pics from our last healthy crockpot cooking class at Selinsgrove Area Middle School. Every 7th grade kid in Mrs. Bastian’s home economics class prepped a beef and vegetable stew and took home a crockpot to cook it in!!

We had a great turnout for our healthy crockpot cooking class with Parent to Parent Connections of Northumberland County ! Everyone prepped and took home large ziplock bags of beef and cabbage stew and Tuscan kale zuppa to throw in the crockpot for a later time. We also enjoyed a beautiful catered healthy lunch from Isabella Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge . So fun!!

Pics from our last cooking class at The REC of Eastern Snyder County!!! We busted out some “healthy lunchables”. The kids got to slice up some healthy fruits and vegetables and we made our own uncrustables!!! 🥦 🥕 🥪 🍓 🥒

Healthy Cooking Class at The REC of Eastern Snyder County today! The kids learned how to make “healthy grain bowls”!! Each kid got a reusable container to take home. We prepped fruits and veggies and assembled some yummy lunches!!! So proud of the kids for trying some new things!!

Whole grain + protein + vegetable/fruit = delicious healthy meal!!! 🍎 🥗🍴🍗 🥑

Today was our last healthy cooking class with the kids at the REC summer camp in Selinsgrove!!! The kids had so much fun making colorful healthy grain bowls for lunch!! We talked about all the things they learned with us this summer like washing hands before cooking, how to hold a kid safe knife, how to cut fruits and veggies, nutrition tid bits, how to assemble healthy meals, and we tried some new foods!! The REC of Eastern Snyder County

We taught a “healthy lunchables” class with the kids at The REC of Eastern Snyder County!!! The kids each got their own reusable containers to keep to make their own lunches with fresh fruits and vegetables, and their own “uncrustables”!! We used our kids’ safe knives and cutting boards to prep and we talked about nutrition!! Also, Cam and Luci Davis of Selinsgrove asked for donations in luei of gifts for their July birthdays and raised $550 to support this effort!!!
