JOB OPPORTUNITY-

The Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking applications to be
considered for the position of Deputy Sheriff. The Sheriff’s Office is seeking men and
women that exhibit characteristics of good character, sound judgment, honesty,
reliability and integrity that blend together with a philosophy for community-oriented
policing and a strong desire to serve the interest of the citizens of Northumberland

Minimum Training & Experience:
• U.S. Citizen.
• High school graduate recognized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State
Board of Education.
• 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• Applicants must possess Act 2 certified minimum 760 hours training in the
Deputy Sheriffs’ Basic Training Program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
and / or MPOETC Act 120.

Individuals who desire to receive a permit to carry fi****ms do not need to make an appointment with our office prior to walking in.
Permits are processed daily between the hours of 9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.

Northumberland County Sheriff, Robert Wolfe would like to thank Function of beauty, Paxinos Pa for the generous donation of hand sanitizer that was donated to Northumberland County Courthouse today.

Sheriff Wolfe distributed hand sanitizer to all offices in the Courthouse to include the Sheriff's Office, District Attorneys Office, Prothonatary's Office, Register and Recorder's Office, All Judges and Judges Chambers, Court Administration as well as Court Security Officers in the Courthouse.

Sheriff Wolfe commented that is he very grateful for the donation in helping keep the Court staff safe and healthy during this pandemic.

Beginning Monday, May 11th the Sheriffs Office will be issuing gun permits on a limited basis. Permits will be issued between the hours of 9:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. & 1:00p.m. - 4:00p.m.
For the safety of everyone, only one individual will be allowed into the Office at a time and only 25 permits will be served in the morning and 25 permits in the afternoon on a first come first serve basis.
