Please the below message for Rumpke trash collection for this week.

Due to inclement weather we have made the decision to not run service on Monday and we will be operating on a one-day delay for the remainder of the week.

We expect to be caught up on service by end of day Saturday and will return to your regular pickup schedule next week.

Condit Road will be closed January 5-9 from State Route 3 to Meredith State Road for a catch basin installation.

Christmas Decorating has begun! Do you have strands of burned-out lights or you’re replacing the old ones with energy-efficient LED lights? Don’t throw them out! Delaware County is offering to recycle those old light strands. You can deposit your old light strands into the decorated recycling box at the Sunbury Municipal Building (9 West Granville Street, Sunbury, OH). Offer only valid from November 15th, 2025 to January 19th, 2026.

Thank you for being patient with our Road sign updates/installations. 50% of the updates/installations have been completed. Porter Township will continue to replace and put up road signs along our roadways over the next few months. Please continue to be patient with us. We will be marking where new signs will be going with wooden stakes painted orange or with a pink streamer at the top. Please do not remove the wooden stakes. We are making sure we don't hit a utility line when putting new signs in. Thank you.

ODOT District #6 is proposing a roundabout at SR-521 and North Galena Road in Kingston Township. Projected construction is 2028. Hopefully not at the same time as the roundabout at SR-61 and SR-521. Please review the SR-521 and North Galena Road Project at:
